In March 2023, a long-held dream became reality during an extraordinary trip with Nhiếp Ảnh & Du Lịch. This journey across Namibia unfolded as a visual feast of stark contrasts, taking us deep into the surreal, sun-bleached clay pan of Deadvlei, where ancient skeletons of camel thorn trees stand frozen against towering red dunes. From the dramatic desert, we traced the coastline to the mist-shrouded shores of Walvis Bay, captured the haunting, sand-swallowed interiors of the Kolmanskop ghost town, and felt the wild, wind-swept isolation of Diaz Point. Our African odyssey was seamlessly framed by a memorable transit through the bustling,

Quiver Tree Forest - Keetmanshoop, Namibia

The quiver tree, also called the kokerboom, is a very large succulent tree of southern Africa. The tree is named for the quivers (arrow holders) that the San people made from its hollowed-out branches. The quiver tree can reach a height of up to 32 feet with yellow flowers blooming in the winter.

The Quiver Tree Forest is a ftourist attraction of Southern Namibia, located about 14km north-east of Keetmanshoop, on the Gariganus farm. The forest was declared a national monument of Namibia in 1995.

Cây quiver, còn được gọi là kokerboom, là loài cây mọng nước rất lớn của miền Nam Phi Châu. Cây được đặt tên theo ống đựng (hộp đựng mũi tên) mà người San làm từ các cành rỗng ruột của nó. Cây quiver có thể cao tới 30 feet với những bông hoa màu vàng nở vào mùa đông. 

Rừng cây Quiver là một điểm tham quan du lịc của phía Nam Namibia, nằm cách Keetmanshoop khoảng 14km về phía đông bắc trên trang trại Gariganus Farm. Khu rừng này được công nhận là di tích quốc gia của Namibia vào năm 1995.

Deadvlei

Deadvlei is a white pan in a valley between the dunes in the Namib-Naukluft Park in Namibia. Its name mean "dead marsh". Deadvlei has been claimed to be surrounded by the highest sand dunes in the world, the highest reaching 300-400m, named "Big Daddy" or "Crazy Dune", resting on a sandstone terrace. The clay pan was formed after rainfall, when the Tsauchab river flooded, creating temporary shallow pools where the abundance of water allowed camel thorn trees to grow. When the climate changed, drought hit the area, and sand dunes encroached on the pan, which blocked the river from the area. The trees died as there was no longer enough water to survive. Though not petrified, the wood has not decomposed because the area is so dry.

Deadvlei là một chảo đất set nằm giữa những cồn cát của công viên Namib-Naukluft ở Namibia. Tên của nó có nghĩa là "đầm lầy chết". Diaz Point and Diaz Lighthouse

Built in 1915, the red and white horizontally-banded Diaz Point Lighthouse. It stands 174′ (53m) above sea level. It is one of only three active lighthouses in Lüderitz, Namibia.

Nearby is a the actual point where Portuguese explorer and navigator, Bartolomeu Dias, landed on July 25, 1488, St. James Day. The cross sits high on a headland. As was the Portuguese custom, Dias erected a padrão, a large stone cross inscribed with Portugal’s coat of arms, claiming the land for Portugal and dedicated to São Tiago.
