Welcome to a visual tour of "chalking the walk"—where ordinary asphalt transforms into an open-air canvas and the pavement meets the palette. Street painting is a beautifully fleeting medium; a sudden downpour or the steady tread of passing footsteps can sweep it all away. But through the lens, these brilliant bursts of color on concrete jungle walkways are captured forever.

The 17-day trip traveling through the Adriatic and Balkan regions offers a stunning contrast between Alpine pearls, emerald rives, and sun-drenched coastal fortifications. Crossing Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Slovenia allows us to experience the cultural intersection of the Mediterranean, Central  Europe, and the Ottoman East. Dubrovnik's Old Town, Croatia (Part 1)

Dubrovnik’s Old Town, often called the "Pearl of the Adriatic," is a remarkably well-preserved medieval city on the Dalmatian coast of Croatia. Enclosed by massive stone walls and designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1979, it served for centuries as the center of the independent Republic of Ragusa. The city's most defining feature is its 1.2-mile-long defensive system, which took centuries to complete.
