Secretary Bird

The secretary bird has stiff black feathers that stick out from the back of its head and neck. It is called the secretary bird because its tuft of black feathers makes the bird look as if it were carrying quill pens behind its ears, as secretaries once did. The body feathers are light gray. Secretary birds are famous their long eyelashes.

Red-Winged Starling, Zimbabwe

The red-winged starling is native to eastern Africa from Ethiopia to the Cape Town in South Africa. It prefers clipffs and mountainous areas for nesting, and has moved into cities and towns due to similarity to its original habitat.

Chim sáo cánh đỏ có nguồn gốc từ miền đông châu Phi trải rộng từ Ethiopia đến Cape Town ở Nam Phi. Nó thích làm tổ ở các vách đá hay vùng núi, và đã di chuyển vào các thành phố cũng như thị trấn do sự tương tự như môi trường sống ban đầu của nó.

Black-headed Weaver

Black-headed weaver is a medium-sized weaver. Breeding males are striking with a black face and neck and a dark brown iris that contrasts with its yellow body. Female and nonbreeding male are similar with a yellow breast and white belly. Usually found in marshy areas with tall grass, they build a basket nest, women together with grass and sticks that hangs from trees.

Loại chim black-headed weaver thuộc cỡ trung bình. Loại chim đực với khả năng sinh sản nổi bật với cổ màu đen và mống mắt màu nâu sẫm tương phản với cơ thể mài vàng. Violet-eared Waxbill

The violet-eared waxbill is found in subtropical or tropical (lowland) dry shrubland and savanna habitats in Angola, Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe. 

Loài chim mỏ sáp tai tím thường được tìm thấy ở vùng thảo nguyên hay vùng cây có nhiều bụi khô cận nhiệt đới hoặc nhiệt đới (vùng đất thấp) ở Angola, Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia, Nam Phi, Zambia và Zimbabwe.
