Chumash Inter-Tribal Pow Wow 2022
The 25th Annual Chumash Inter-Tribal Pow Wow was hosted in October 2022 at Santa Ynez, California. It was a 2-day event full of traditional tribal dance and song in honor of their ancestors with over 300 Native American dancers and singers representing many of the tribes from Canada and the United States.
Wind Turbines
According to the US Geological Survey, Kern County where Tehachapi Pass is located has more wind turbines than any other county in the nation with 4,581 wind turbines and a capacity of 4 Gigawatts. That's enough to power up to 3 million homes.
Oak Creek Wild Horses
These Mustang horses are unbranded and free-roaming on Oak Creek Canyon Ranch range. All the horses when mature, are black or dark black/brown in color, some have white socks or stocking, and many have a white star on their forehead (Source: Wild Horses of Oak Creek).
